Cross Brace Collar

Details
Purpose:
The Collar was designed for the folks that are cutting their own crossbars, and don’t want the hassle of coping, yet wanting the simplicity of a solid and weldless connection. The Collar provides a fast, efficient, and simple approach to attaching a 2 3/8” crossbar when building a brace. Slide Collars onto crossbar with coped ends toward posts, level crossbar to desired position, push coped end against post and drill into post through one or both angled holes in coped ears of the Collar. Use a 11/64" bit (for 5/32" clips) or a 13/64" bit (for 3/16" clips). Once holes are drilled simply insert a wire clip and set with tool to affix. There is a hole in the body of the Collar if there is a need to secure Collar to crossbar; manufacturer recommends placing this connect on top side of crossbar and/or secure with a tie as there is no way to set the clip.
